Mark
began dancing at the age of 9, studying Jazz & Contemporary
before training as an actor and dancer at the Royal Scottish
Academy of Music and Drama. After a brief career as an actor
he began dancing salsa in 1996 has been a full-time professional
salsa teacher and promoter since 2001, initially teaching
at Salsa Palladium, and then as the resident teacher and promoter
for Salsa-UK for 3 years, teaching and managing such venues
as Bar Lorca and La Finca. He has also taught advanced for
other high profile venues and promoters including Bar Cuba
and Mundo Latino. He joined London-Salsa as a teacher and
managing partner in 2004 with their first venue, since when
it has expanded to become one of the most successful teaching
schools in London with 11 club nights across the capital.
He has also taught or performed at the UK International Salsa
Congress.
He has a wealth of teaching experience not only with Salsa,
but had prior occupations including teaching circus skills,
fencing and drama and has taught some form of physical discipline
for 21 years.
He is delighted to return to Bromley as a guest teacher.
